With weekly sessions suspended and Development Officers being placed on furlough we moved quickly during the initial lockdown to find new ways of continuing to connect with our participants without compromising their safety. With the help of participants, supporters, partners and staff we adapted our delivery using our website, social media channels and virtual meetings.

We replaced regular weekly activity with new exercises, challenges and tasks each week for participants to enjoy through our bespoke online programme hubs. This enabled many to remain active in their homes with their families and helped their mental wellbeing. The online hub also included links to advice on how best to keep both body and mind active, and information for parents and participants on how to access extra support.

Many participants responded to the online hubs with videos and photos of themselves taking on the challenges. Along with many professional cricketers and celebrities, our Development Officers and participants also set challenges and gave advice to their peers.
